Two reasons:

1. The situation is still being investigated and false narratives about it are spreading quick. Some people have twisted, propaganda pushing reports and the right doesn't want to entertain thise exaggerated reports.

2. The various leftist groups that celebrate violence against their enemies, have committed violence, and denote violence as a major part of their plans for "revolution" are using the event to underhandedly grasp for some high ground they don't deserve. Quite frankly, if this was a politically motivated move, why apologize? Why reformat when the conservative groups have been playing patient and peaceful with no results? "Oh don't worry about the left. Let them ramp it up on you with little real reprocussion or retaliation made against them. You'll get the sympathy and action to change the state of the country and punish these people... Eventually. Maybe next year.... Or in the next ten. We'll get back to you eventually."
