The chain reaction has already begun. Leftists are already taking down the statues as a response to the rally.

Now, if normal right-wing groups of white people show up to protest this (which could happen in large numbers, red states) the media will label them all Alt-Right and neo-nazis (because that's the new narrative that leftists think will work, instead of plain old "racist").

This will alarm the leftists, which will go down demolishing statues even more, and minorities which start hunting for "racist whites". Many lives could be taken in the process. Racial tensions will be all-time-high. You will see race-riots like never before.

Things had gotten so bad during the Cultural Revolutions under Mao, that the party actually betrayed him to try and put a stop to the mob violence. Likewise, if the Establishment isn't actually in control of these mobs, then the situation will escalate so badly that the Republicans will only wind up even stronger from these events. Angry Mobs alienate people, regardless of who it's from, and if the witch hunt continues to be utilized against "Normal" whites, then that again will only make the GOP stronger.
