I keeps seeing people who claim to be Conservative whining their asses off about "muh corporate welfare wahh wahhh". What they don't understand that welfare is when you pay people to be lazy assholes, corporate welfare is when you pay for jobs. Don't think of it as "corporate welfare", think of it as "buying jobs". Corporations will leave without an incentive to stay, we want them to stay to create jobs, so we pay them to stay, essentially buying jobs.

Buying jobs is literally the best investment a country can make, better buy jobs than buy some shitty bond from some third world banana republic. Besides based Mussilini and Hitler were corporatists
