Well, since the CVille protest didn't do so well at achieving it's goals, why not compromise a bit?
Why don't they just take all the statues that they don't like and put it in a museum somewhere. That way the statues are preserved and can be enjoyed by the general public, protected by security so they can't be defaced, and the people who wanted them removed can get their way.
Everyone wins a little bit but not entirely.
I don't want these statues to disappear forever, they're still fine art in my opinion and historically significant but we can't riot to keep them in place.

I mean, c'mon. It's likely inevitable since the people who want statues removed speak up and those who don't mind don't notice if they're planning on removing it. Just give them a proper resting place.
