Through the democratic process we limit the ability of individuals to exploit it for personal gain so that land, mineral resources and renewable resources can be put to the common good of our country. This arrangement prevents the exploitation of resources used to benefit cronyism as in South America or private militias as in Africa.

Our land, and the equitable use of it, has been one of the principle drivers in America's greatness.
