Everybody here already knows the dangers of it I guess, but to sum it up: we really need to make sure that someone who understands the implications of it, invent it, or at least influence whoever does invent it to not fuck it up so that it kills us all. Since an AI will be smarter than all of humanity combined in a very short time after its development, we should at least try to research how to make it friendly towards us, so that's why I think it's a worthwhile goal. Also, Musk needs some help competing against Jewish billionaires such as Zuckerberg.
