He's pursuing or at least trying to pursue a music career.

Some say that he made the whole 'Filthy Frank' persona because of stage freight and fear of being ridiculed.
With Filthy Frank he reached a point where nothing can touch him, he can go on stage and fart for half an hour and fans will be pleased.

If you look at some of his interviews and podcasts, he acts and feels completely the opposite of how his persona is, introvert.
