Kraut here. We're slowly getting closer to legalization. Not a heavy smoker anymore, last couple joints I had were last month. Taking T breaks all the time, it's amazing how high you can get if you take breaks a couple weeks or even months, then smoke a tiny bud. Also cheaper, and more satisfying to get your life in grip.

Well anyways, in case you didn't know. We had a tiny medical MJ project here in Germany for a couple years now. Only 100 "model" patients who were allowed to buy it for insane prices (25€/g). Know one of them personally, he's living in my city. Gets MJ to help with his Tourette syndrom.

Now our gubment surprisingly completely legalized medical MJ for dunno 60+ illnesses. Patients can get up to 100g per month if their doctor decides it is necessary. Pretty cool. Oh, and also "for free", all costs are covered by health insurance. Since that will become pretty expensive (currently we have to import medical MJ from the netherlands) there are already plans to start government-controlled growhouses here in Germany. Fucking lol. Maybe I'll apply at one of those growhouses.

Testing is a good regulation but how to properly implement I have no idea. Also places should have to test for more than just potency it should also include if any pesticides are detected.

Can't wait for coffee shops in Germany. I live right next to Düsseldorf and they are pushing for legalization too. Mayor wants coffee shops in his town because people are smoking anyways, and that way the city could at least get tax money from the local stoners and from the tourists.

You should check out some grow forums and look for the micro-grow section. You could use small HID, CFL, or LED lights.

Ive tried and successfully did it ;-) Growed in a 0,80x0,80x1,60m tent with a LED 180W dual spectrum light. It was a RQS Auto White Whidow and it had one of the most beautiful buds on ive ever seen ! They waste a LOT of energy if you fuck up like I did, but they have the right light spectrum. Most growers here use them, and it's kinda standard equipment you can get in every growshop here. Well they used to do, haven't been there for years. If you know more than me, then educate me please. Didn't do much research on my own, but yeah, everybody here uses them or moved on to LED.

And I had a few fantastic harvests with sodium vapor, so they can't be THAT bad. Main problem is the bulbs are pretty expensive, and yeah they eat a lot of energy. You also need to replace the bulbs every other year because they get weak pretty soon. And electricity has become increasingly expensive in Germany because we are shutting down our atomic reactors. Thanks, government. When electricity prices raised to almost double of what I was used to when I started, and after that bad crop with the spider mites I gave up.

But yes, sodium vapors can be very good too. But antoher problem with this light: The high temperatures, which are coming with the daily work of a sodium vapors. LED's are really amazing for growing, even those who can enlight both light spectrums with one LED device

Inefficient lights and ballasts will give off heat, normally the hotter they run, the less efficient.
They are better lighting choices for your grow.
Your best bet is to look at what they are doing on the forums, and there is a seed bank in Germany.

My brother's wife is a doctor, gynecologist, she would never go to work high because she has too much responsibility there. But when she has a few day off she smokes a joint or two because why not?
