the libertarian party doesn't do fucking anything at the local level, which is what they'll have to do to become a major player. and their candidates are usually shit tier. this is from someone who voted GJ in 2012 and has desperately wanted a solid libertarian party to exist.

republicans and democrats are parties that are over one hundred years old each and have put in the time and effort to become large/powerful. the LP was founded like 40 years ago and has since done fuck all to build a party from the ground up. there isn't any ballot access specter preventing LPs from running for council, mayor, commissioner, and so forth. they just don't really give a fuck besides bitching every 2-4 years because no one wants to vote for their shit candidate and equally if not more bad groundgame+campaign.

Libertarians aren't like other political groups where their support is geographically condense area; they are spread out evenly across the country. For the free state project to gain any ground in New Hampshire people literally had to move their.
