Mexicans didn't give a fuck about California until after they lost it. The Spaniards had it beforehand and the most they had were established missions. Spain and Mexico alike had to PAY people to move and colonize California and not many people accepted because it was remote, difficult to travel to, the the way to California was populated by violent native tribes and settlers could be murdered just trying to reach the damn land.

The biggest thing California was known for was its lawlessness since Mexico could barely claim sovereignty over it and beef cattle market. Only after Mexico lost the state did the Gold Rush start and transportation improved with the transcontinental railroad. Now that the US put all its time and resources to develop California into one of the most economically viable states do these La Raza fuckers think they are entitled to anything on the land itself. If there was a civil war in California, it would really suck for people in it. There are only a few easy ways to get out of the state. Its either north to the cascades, east across the sierra Nevada or the Mojave desert, south is mexico or to the ocean. The geography will make it easy to entrap Californians as mountain passes will be blocked, deserts are for target practice and the water will be shut off. I need to get the fuck out.
