It seems that, due to this awful political climate, a lot of people's moral centers have been shattered to pieces.
Mortality is a pretty huge part of what makes humans human, and it's kind of jarring how there're people out there who're throwing all that away.
There have always been racists and bullies and other such hateful pieces of shit out there, and they've always been the one who've ruined the world the most.
But it looks like a lot of people are starting to become exactly that: Just more racists and more hateful pieces of shit, because they've discarded their morality in favor of...

Psst... I'll let you in on a big secret: morality is a political construct. That is, it can only exist when there is a healthy political climate. The two are connected. When our societies are flooded with aliens, trust deteriorates, the the unwritten moral codes we used to live by cease to be.
