politics is a science more dismal than economics, it's about trying to make sure the stupid are under your control, why do you think smart people don't involve themselves in these flawed systems?

i used to be into politics, but more and more it seems like it's an idiots game. i don't even know the political leanings of the people i work with in my research lab because we don't talk about that stuff, just like we don't talk about sports.
