I used to be an exceptional sperglord who did fantasy roleplaying (actual LARPing).
In the game, I was a Death Mage who just got to experience level 5, so I gained the spell Death Ball.
I remarked to my brother "this is so cool, when people walk by they will think I'm an awesome necromancer."
"No," he said simply. "They'll look at you and see an idiot wearing a red tabbard and holding a black sock pretending he's a wizard."
After that, my vision of the game was shattered and I couldn't get into it anymore.
I think that has just happened for me again today. I was able to partially see the UtR rally through the eyes of a normie and I didn't feel pride. I felt shame.
I don't want to be a part of this anymore. It isn't cool or edgy. You're all living in a political LARP that you need to wake up from. This is me doing that for you.
