The timing of today's events seem pretty fishy. For the past few weeks, there's been a battle in the Trump administration between H.R. McMaster (representing the establishment/globalist Republicans' interests) and Steve Bannon (representing the nationalist Republicans' intersts). They both seem hell-bent on getting the other fired, in an attempt to have their own ideology take front-and-center place in the goals of the administration.
The mainstream Republicans (McCain, Paul Ryan, etc) seem to want nothing to do with the nationalists' agenda, and seek to discredit it. What better way than to stage an event to alter the public perception of the nationalists to be crazy neo-nazis, who are willing to engage in acts of domestic terrorism?
ALL the major news outlets, including Fox, IMMEDIATELY pushed the narrative that the driver of the car was a white nationalist committing an act of domestic terrorism, well before a suspect was even arrested. We're still unclear as to the driver's motives. Was it intentional? Was he simply scared and panicked? Neither of those questions matter: the public already believes that it was an intentional attack on behalf of white supremacists.
ALL the major news outlets are also pushing the narrative that the 3 deaths today took place due to the fact that the white nationalists had their rally. Attributing the death of the girl who was hit by the car makes some sense, but why are they also attributing the deaths of the 2 police officers aboard the helicopter to the white nationalists? The helicopter crash was 7 miles away from the rally. I can't wait to find out why exactly that helicopter crashed, but again, it doesn't really matter at this point, because the public already believes that white supremacists were responsible for the deaths of 2 police officers. When the actual facts come out as to why that helicopter went down, we'll already be in a new news cycle and no one will care.
