Jim Gray is a far-left liberal, and he's just looking for attention. He can't just move these statues on his own, any more than the Nathan Bedford Forrest statue could be removed in Memphis (the city council there voted to remove it in 2015 after the Roof shooting, but it's still standing in its original spot today.)

Wake me up when it's a small town doing this, and not the usual suspects (Louisville, Lexington, New Orleans, St. Louis, etc.)

The headline of this story is a lie, since 1. Jim Gray was already planning to do this and 2. He can't do it on his own, he's simply seeking the city council's support to ask a state commission for permission to relocate the statues, which may or may not be granted.

Ultimately, Gray saw what was happening in Virginia and decided to announce this on Twitter today for no reason other than he wanted media attention and praise. "Never let a crisis go to waste."
