The year was 1914. The summer haze hung like a gossamer veil over the dusky sky as a silver crescent moon rose above the clouds and dying embers of the sun. Elegant Parisians beautifully dressed and perfumed gathered for dinner at the cafe pre-Catelan before the opera. The belle epoque was in its indian summer and no one knew a jew backed world war was soon to come and sweep a glittering era away. The world has never been the same. Please share a moment of sadness with me in remembrance of our last golden age.
