Alright you fuckers. I've been rolling this idea stone in my head for a while now, and I want to know what you think of it. I want to try to build stronger ties with my community so we can all stop relying on manipulative elites and garbage corporations etc. I also want to revitalize the notion of a local close knit meritocracy based on results and not identity or thought-tribalism. So I'm trying to learn as many skills as I can that produce real useful shit: farming, woodworking, tailoring, etc. I already have electrical work, entry level carpentry and computer skills under my belt, so I figured I'd branch out. The idea is to make a bunch of shit that people can use so they don't have to pay exploitive corporations. I'm gonna be giving my wares away on the condition that people who want them develop a skill of their own to contribute and do the same. I figure this'll weed out the leeches and focus the community into a group of hard working people that have a sense of camaraderie etc. What do you think /pol/? Is this viable? Suggestions/criticisms?
