Not sure about the exact number of days or % of salary, but it's true that either of the parent can take the parental leave. My brother used quite a lot of it.

The real stupidity comes when some politicians talk about earmarking this and that number of weeks that only the father is allowed to use. Fortunately this suggestion isn't left unopposed and even mainstream politicians think that parents should be allowed to choose how they use the weeks.
