Some context:

The true sick people are the ones who come from rational environments and still feel like they are the opposite sex. They actually don't know what it feels like to be the opposite sex, but they *imagine* how it feels. Young kids explore the world including themselves, so they might try something from the opposite sex, I think I enjoyed imitating women's voices when I was a kid although I'm still straight and "cis" today. But if they have psycho lib parents, the parents might be afraid of "stifling" their child's true nature and lead him or her to the very, very profitable transgenderism industry. Ironically, it's a reaction to the stifling culture where if a child did *anything* from the opposite, it would be slapped down to keep the child from becoming a homo or whatever. So we've oscillated from one bad "conservative" approach to another "liberal" one.
