It would probably work better in modern times, the cost of a flying a plane is relatively a lot cheaper than chartering an expedition in the age of sail.

Conquering a nation would give control of natural resources and wealth.

Then they should mass genocide current occupants. Except save the thicc women for breeding.

Slavery is a short sighted concept, they always eventually reintegrate into society or revolt and ruin future generations.
