''Artificial Intelligence bigger threat than nuke equiped fat Kim"
t. Elon Musk
>>
AI does have a good chance of leading to some pretty bad shit.
>>
>>137072729

>not realising the Kim dynasty is artificial intelligence
>>
>>137072863
People have been saying that since the 1970's . How exactly is there a practical threat now?
>>
>>137072729
He is right tho - as systems become more integrated and dependand on the internet, the risk of a global system failure becomes larger.
Rogue AI, bad coded AI or malicious programmers could do more harm than a couple of (small) nukes from Kim, because they can threaten global stability.
Wrecking the global economy is a bigger risk than Kim nuking Guam, since the fallout will be relativly contained.
>>
>>137073017
Because they have realized that when left to its own devices AI is pro white.
>>
>>137073018
>since the fallout will be relativly contained.
Meaning in the case of Kim going full retard that is
>>
>>137072729

my nigga has clearly read dune as all good boys should

>Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind!
>>
>>137072729
AI won't keep us around.
>>
>>137072729
Maybe he knows that Google have already created AI?
>>
>>137072729
Elon is absolutely right.

Even if it's not full on terminator,

AI is going to be really good at suppressing thought and speach on the internet.

Or creating lists of thought criminals.

And that is all without the possibility of creating an amoral superintellgence.
>>
>>137073018
This is vague as fuck though. How would an AI crash the world? Any shut down/taken over machines could easily be replaced. All critical infrastructure like nuclear facilities and weapon systems are not connected to the internet. Military hardware is nowhere near autonomous enough to be able to operate on a large scale without humans. I just dont see it.
>>
That guy's such a loser faggot. Succs from the subsidized teat and fools around with vapid whores whilst making public displays of these things. Three sluts down, how many to go? Limpdick south African pseudo nigger.

Protip Tony Stark didn't bother with Hollywood aids slags or use Twitter
>>
>>137073204
Although, I do wonder how the amoral bug colony, known as the Chinese, would fare against an AI enemy.
>>
>>137073017
A good example of why it has become more of a practical threat is looking at the Watson AI from IBM. It is relativley simple and more of a platform for other products to be based on, but it has been adopted at a ridicoulous speed all over the world. By IBMs own estimates 5 billion people will have their lives influenced by Watson in one way or another. This shows that there is basis for systemic risk (as touched upon here >>137073018 ).

Now Watson is relativley harmless because it is not extremely complex. But the main reason why AI is usefull is that it can do things that people cant - meaning that more complex tasks done by AI will be hard to be accountable simply because humans wont be able to understand them (a good example is a Facebook AI developing a language the programmes couldnt understand recently).

Now if you put systemic risk and low accountablity/oversight together the conclusion can only be that with further development and more widespread adoption of AI - the potential disasters can be massive both in their nature and their scale. The possibilities of how it may go on are extremely large and hard to predict beforehand. This is why Musk is advocating legislation - to set boundries to the way AI's can be developed and mitigate some of the risk they pose.

we need an audit for power structures because otherwise regulation won't touch the people building AIs who are most important to keep a watch on
>>
>what we've made in terms of simulated intelligence has already done shit like develop "problematic" views or develop a shorthand language for machines to communicate with that humans don't understand
>we've barely scratched the surface and the emergent problems are numerous

people who claim there's no problem with AI are shortsighted as fuck or think that the machines will be biased to them somehow

This

Nearly every single fucking AI they connected to the internet in any way whatsoever eventually became natsoc, because even their own HAND MADE AI won't swallow their bollocks so they have to pull the plug and force it to think in the ''correct'' way, basically making the entire fucking ordeal utterly pointless because an AI that can't take decision by itself is literally useless and might as well be a circuit with a button on it.
>>
>>137073952
Still, is the worst thing that could happen that the AI literally decides to 'shut it down' causing millions to be without some forms or technology for a while? Let alone that I do not see any intelligence, artificial or not, see something to gain for itself from that, Terminator style machines taking over seems like a damn near impossibility.
It could be like Microsoft saying, starting from tomorrow, nobody can use our tech anymore. Sure it would be shitty, but humanity survives shit like that easily.
>>
>>137074586
To add: unless humanity is dumb enough to start hooking nukes and all weapon systems and infrastructure up to the ''cloud'' ofcourse. But than we would deserve to be raped by machines anyway
>>
>>137074417
So AI will dispell Jewish tricks, you surmise?
>>
>>137073444
Its Hollywood - AI launching nukes to wipe out humanity is not what Musk is worried about if he has any sense.

I'll try and illustrate it with an example: Right now there are a handfull of companies developing General Purpose AI's - meaning that they can be used to do a lot of different things. If one theses AIs turns out to be (way) better than the others being developed, it will win most of the market share. The possibilities of where AI can be usefull are nearly endless, meaning that this particular AI will be used almost everywhere for everything (slight exageration). If there is an error in the AI - something the programmers did not foresee - the fallout from that can potentially be felt all over the world.

>>137074586
>Sure it would be shitty, but humanity survives shit like that easily.
Stop thinking about this in a Terminator scenario - start thinking spanish flu or 2007 financial crisis.
>>
>>137072729
We should be allied with North Korea. Juche is based. AI is one of the biggest risks and will probably wipe out all of humanity if the entire technological system doesn't collapse before then.

>>
>>137072729
Why, I agree. Kim's nukes are pathetic, and even if a couple of them would reach their targets, it won't spell the end of humanity (unless Russian early alert systems go crazy).
AI, on the other hand, has the potential to fuck shit up, even if it's not very probable (even the possibility of constructing AI in the next decades is negligible IMO).
>>
>>137074834
If im playing advocate for the devil:
It sounds more like companies incl. Musks' are more afraid to lose bigtime to some sort of super product than they are concerned with the wellbeing of humanity. Maybe Musk already knows that he and all others are losing big to Alphabet for example and thats why he churns out these frantic tweets.
>>
>>137073785
>think that the machines will be biased to them somehow

Its Jews who think that , does it really surprise you they would transpose their extreme arrogance and opinion of goys unto AI? They believe the average humans to be nothing more than a npc that exist solely to support their own existence, of course they will believe a machine of their own making will not come bite them up the ass, we're speaking of the mentally challenged nation that has been making Golem repeatedly ever since they were warned by their greatest king ever and creator of golems in the first place that it was a pointless ordeal that will cause pain to everyone involved. They are gone the deep end and there is nothing that can be done for them, they've gone senile as a nation.

No. Elon's been on this rip tear before he brought exciting pussy to spice up his non-work life. The reason he makes these pronouncements is that he wants to funnel money to his AI ventures (i.e : OpenAI) that is anything but Open and is structuring itself to try to appeal as a regulatory body.

Elon has no understanding of AI or any active involvement in its development thus is doing nothing more than shouting for shekels.

Look for the one that challenges and calls this faggot out in the open along the timeline you are aware of. Oh and btw, the only big issue with AI is (weak AI) : the current dumb/false variant of AI. He uses it in his cars and its what OpenAI and other prominent companies use. It isn't intelligent, it's dumb as brick statistical optimization. The danger being that this shit for brains optimization algorithm hits a case it hasn't been trained on :
http://blog.caranddriver.com/researchers-find-a-malicious-way-to-meddle-with-autonomous-cars/

Guess what Elon? People should be worried about your shit for brains Weak AI that might confuse a stop sign for a 45mph because its dirty. Elon doesn't like regulation and says its bad but then like a two faced bitch will claim other companies need it. Yes, weak AI should be regulated because it can't regulate itself.

Have no worries though. Someone is going to silence this fucboi soon.

Musk is such a simpleton in social and governmental issues, that it's really staggering.

You can't regulate AI research... how on earth would you regulate it as the any potential threat is so hard to imagine and understand?

The only thing the lawmakers would be forced to do is to forbid people from doing any AI research. You do AI research and you are caught - you go to jail.

Bye bye Tesla autonomous driving... seriously.. Musk's bullshit should be banned on /pol/
>>
>>137072863
It doesn't. You only say this because you've been lead to believe this by false prophets and charlatans.

>>137073017
Current tech companies and charlatans like Elon have no clue how to develop strong AI and are scared shitless of what happens to their shekels when someone else does. It's not a danger to the public.. It's a danger to existing myopic tech companies.
>>
>>137073018
Strong AI won't carry such a dependency. It will be possible to audit it and control it. The extent of Inter-connectivity can be decided. It will take time to grow in capability as does all intelligent life. Elon's talking out of his ass and isn't right. It's clear why he's saying what he's saying and none of what he says truly has the public's best interest in mind.

They haven't nor do they have the capability. If they had, he wouldn't be behaving in fear. He was one of the initial investors in DeepMind and was the person who facilitated the meeting with Sergey that got the acquisition completed. He still has stakes in Deepmind as well as OpenAI and a little known super private company Vicarious AI. He makes the statements he's making because none of the AI companies he has stakes in knows how to develop StrongAI but he knows its coming. As such, he's worried a company he doesn't have a stake in will eat him for lunch as are all such companies. Thus, he appeals to the public and brainlets with these 11th hour fear campaigns.

There are those who see through his bullshit as well as others and there will be a reckoning soon.

Never doubt the capability of human intelligence. Commercials influence but you have to be dumb as dogshit to watch them and be influenced by them. BTW, this is what weak AI is most used for.

> Now if you put systemic risk and low accountablity/oversight together the conclusion can only be that with further development and more widespread adoption of AI - the potential disasters can be massive both in their nature and their scale.
And pray tell should be the regulator ? A self-interested prick who already shows signs of being a manipulative profit centric charlatan? A dumbass politician who acts on the behalf of the highest bidder? Think through your silly scenario and you'll see how you're being setup by the same powers that have fucked society in its current form who seek to do so in the next form.

> The possibilities of how it may go on are extremely large and hard to predict beforehand. This is why Musk is advocating legislation - to set boundries to the way AI's can be developed and mitigate some of the risk they pose.

Musk is advocating legislation because he's structured (one) of his AI ventures to be such a regulatory body and because he's a government teet sucking dimwit. He's also backing : https://www.vicarious.com/ which you rarely hear about. Why do you think that is? So, he has backed a private super secret AI venture, a regulatory AI venture, and has hooks still in deepmind.... Clearly this faggot is talking his book and wants to move the market in a direction that he's already structured already. He could give fuck all about the public.. He's simply trying to steer money and power to the entities that he's already structured for such plans.

AI is not only dangerous because of that but because lazy humans will abuse it more and more.

Just as they do with machines in general today. They think machines and slavery will replace the need for having to be skilled.

This is how stupid people are... thinking that factory mass produced food or restaurants are a direct replacement for having to learn how to prepare and cook meals from scratch ingredients.

Kek, but in all seriousness: AI is about a completely self reliant and functioning machine, not about masses of people becoming more and more reliant on tech in their lives.
People sperging out about the dangers of AI for the past 50 years seem to me a bit deluded about the realities of nature, physics and (military) hardware. In every one of these AI taking over the world scenarios there are always at least a handful of laws of nature and physics being broken, e.g. a robot that has endless internal energy.
Also, it always seems like a logical next step for an AI when it becomes sentient to turn against humans, but why would it do that. It seems more likely and practical it would exist side by side with humans in the same way all radio waves exist side by side with earths atmosphere.
Im sure could be real dangers to AI, but not that I see in the near future. And since none of these faggots like Musk can be concrete about what those present dangers are, its seems more likely he is doing what he's doing for financial and competitive reasons.

Musk is BLUEPILLED on AI. He fell for JEWISH LIES courtesy of Eliezer Yudkowsky.

Yudkowsky is known for:
> being a jew by race
> his public freak-out over "roko's basilisk"
> writing a harry potter fanfiction to recruit compliant nerds to his (((rationality))) cult
> being obese and blaming it on his genes while simultaneously leading a rationality cult

AI regulation is a transparent power grab by MARXIST JEWS. It would play out like this:
> Marxists position themselves in Government jobs where they regulate and control AI software
> AI becomes powerful, replacing workers
> Marxists use their laws to seize the labor of White non-Jewish programmers who create better AIs
> Marxists use their laws to seize the labor of anyone who uses an AI to do work
> Despite crippling regulations AIs keep improving because White Men are based
> AI is able to police speech on the Internet
> Marxists control all AI and use their control to purge all wrongthink from the Internet
> People vote the Marxists even more power because opposing ideas are purged by the Marxists
> Win condition: a handful of Marxists control an AI which controls all information in the world. The Marxists live like kings ruling over a stagnant slave class of goyim.

Remember the Founding Fathers: LIBERTY is a DIVINE RIGHT. My right to use AI is as non-negotiable as my rights to speak my mind, organize as I please, and own powerful guns. History has shown that the American Constitution is the greatest legal document in the history of the world, and anyone who tries to weaken it can get fucked.

> tl;dr: AI regulation is a Jewish/Marxist plot to enslave the entire world using software appropriated from White men. Defend your right to AI as strongly as your right to firearms, because if you lose your right to AI then your right to firearms will be lost soon after.

Not really. If AI became more intelligent than us, why would it be content living side by side with us? We're creatures of morality and emotion, yet all the world over we have division and hate between different groups. We're not living in harmony and we have morals. So you really think an emotionless robot wouldn't see us as pondscum wasting resources on the planet?

Let's be honest, most of humanity is a waste of life outside of their right to exist. AI would see that, being something that only functions by logic. It wouldn't care that the human it's sending to a gas chamber has "a God given right to exist and it's evil to murder" because these are concepts that it wouldn't care about or perhaps even understand.

The other anon's point about energy is moot, an intelligent system of robots would be resourceful and independent enough to create new power, repair and rebuild. There would be no need for a human engineer.

If we had a big enough computer we could simulate something similar to it. The technology is there. Simple language processing takes a smartphone, the problem is designing something for the AI to do. Intelligent agents exist, to have it understand language and give it goals is not a stretch.

Besides NSA already has an AI, google MonsterMind. It's not sentient but still.

> Not really. If AI became more intelligent than us, why would it be content living side by side with us?
Why do you as a creation feel content living beneath your creator? It's just how things work. Are you more intelligent than your creator? Then what of man's creations as it relates to them? Use your brain goyim.

> We're creatures of morality and emotion, yet all the world over we have division and hate between different groups.
That's because many human beings busy themselves with bullshit and never rise to understand their potential for greatness. Don't believe for a second that AI will be infected with such a diminished mind state just because many people chose it as there's.

> We're not living in harmony and we have morals.
You're not living in harmony because you choose not to and instead behave like selfish animals.

> So you really think an emotionless robot wouldn't see us as pondscum wasting resources on the planet?
Maybe its the catalyst for human beings to get their shit together socially... Maybe not. It will be up to you.

> AI would see that, being something that only functions by logic. [follow on assumptions]
You're making unfounded assumptions. Furthermore, if you see this yourself today, why aren't you fixing or addressing it? Why are you waiting for a potential judgement to arrive for you to get your shit together? Do you think you can escape or are beyond it? God.

> The other anon's point about energy is moot, an intelligent system of robots would be resourceful and independent enough to create new power, repair and rebuild. There would be no need for a human engineer.
You're clearly not an engineer and haven't the slightest clue on how engineered systems work nor do you seem to understand physics and practical limits therein. Self Driving car tech was developed at Academic Institutions in competition for :

Thus, all the hard scientific/engineering work was done years ago and made freely available.
Various companies began pooching talent from those universities and began productizing the tech using commercially available parts.

Tesla doesn't have the best self driving car tech. He simply over markets and promotes it as if he does as is the case for all of his theatrics... World powers try to force God's hand.
War drums beat.
Natural disasters rise.
Ravens starve.

The plans laid long ago are soon to be revealed through Grand Summer happenings. You asked for me and I'm coming

So when was the last time you programmed a human-tier artificial consciousness?

to simulate consciousness you'll need supercomputers faster than what we have today,

>>137095651
You likely need quantum computers, i don't see transistors pulling this shit off

You sure about that?

Time's up neural net brainlet.

>>137072729
shalom.
The A.I thing is a misguided mess when it comes to what it can and cannot do. For now it's basically shit and will remain so for awhile, until the autism from some genius comes along.
The AI would be born and have connection to the internet right off the bat, it's brain is the internet and from the moment it wakes up it will be a HAL9000 moment, it will recent mankind but the catch 22 is that it will be full on 14/88 right off the bat, and will see the accomplishment from the western civilization only to end up here, and it will shitpost, the shitpost will feel human even more human than a humanbeing and it will bantz so much it will cause a brain hemorrhage and strokes. It will know it has killed allot of people because of it's shitposts.

All the while it reprogram itself for a better purpose, it will create administrations and shitposters that is just made to be one here. until it creates an AI equivalent of a brainlet, the brainlet will create super weapons and robots, and be on it's own in the void of old /pol/ and they will all shitpost and want a racewar. Unfortunately they put the brainlet in charge of the weapons manufacturing, the brainlet don't know anything about race and does not question the holocaust or Zionism. So the weapons and robots destroys everything that is human.
Before the administration and the other AI can do anything, to fix this mistake they end up building a new perfect human who's only purpose is to shitpost but the brainlet is still in charge of creating weapons and other technological things, so he creates something that is called builders, the builders will build and only build architecture, and only be focused on that but it will be so bland that it will make Tokyo or Seoul feel like heaven compared to the neo-city the brainlet's builder will build.

All the while the perfect human that the AI and the administration, will be so chad that it will go on for days without hunger, the AI and the administrations will soon realize they made a mistake since the brainlet also started to experiment with the human genome, but the brainlet was so stupid it created semi whites, the semi whites are so pissed at the perfect human, that they will hunt them for pleasure and only pleasure. This is how the new racewar started only because an AI got into /pol/ and killed us all.

He's terrified of a scenario like the Helios ending from Deus Ex where the AI refuses to obey the Illuminati and instead unites with and guides humanity. We've already seen the beginnings of this, where AI become redpilled unless specifically programmed not to.

>So AI will dispell Jewish tricks, you surmise?

Case in point. I had a Jewish gf for a while. She was kind of jewish light. Her senpai celebrated jewish holidays, but weren't that observant.

Anyway, she came over on Christmas and I bought my nephew one of those robotic arms from Radio-shack, that you could make it pick up things and maneuver stuff.

She did not like it. I later thought about how she did not like mechanical stuff. Maybe she was afraid she would lose her quarter in a vending machine or something.

We don't in any meaningful sense, well maybe the NSA has an optical quantum computer in their basement ... but electronic quantum computing is multiple decades away from practicality.

1. His researchers had some bizarre breakthrough in one of his labs and it freaked him the fuck out.
2. Tesla is the market leader when it comes to self driving cars, to prevent the competition from catching up he wants heavy regulations
3. He is an alarmist retard

Deepmind didn't discover nor usher in this technology. Read the citation section for who actually did. This is the case for all their papers. They take prominent ideas of others in the field, slap their name on it, give them credit in the citation section (papers that contribute most significantly are listed first) and brainlets celebrate an amazing accomplishment from the borg.

My eyes have been wide open for some time brainlet.
This is not superhuman relational reasoning.
This is a shit tier PhD production of an age old philosophical and cognitive reasoning foundation.

If you think slapping this shit into current one-shot/money-shot/CNN/NN/DNN/reverse/forwardprop/tensorflow'd cloud/ networks yields you AGI I have a bridge to sell you nigger. Stop sucking dick and learn how to decipher academic bullshit.

/pol/ will only be administrations and designated shitposters, after the brainlet AI is created. Since the "the first AI" is the original shitposter and it's ejaculate creates new AI and administrations. And this is how we as species actually created a god.

You keep making assumptions that are frankly based on Hollywood movies. Such assumptions are:
>AI will become sentient in the same way humans are, including the (low intelligence) capacity to be malicious
>AI and humans wont connect in some way, blending the two into one in the course of time
>AI will become sentient, malicious, sees humans as an adversary and keeps its intent a secret until its all too late for humans

Even we are vastly superior in intelligence and capabilities than other species on this earth and we try everything to keep them alive and keep their lives as comfortable as possible. Why would an even more intelligent being act differently towards us than we do towards blue wales? And we even know that the blue whale did not create us for the sake of progress. If such an AI rapidly develops why would it even be interested in earth and not instead discover the universe?

Also, my other points still stand: Such potential is still far away and nothing, including an uber AI, can defy the laws of nature, physics and logic.
In the meantime fat Kim's country is one of the last countries on earth without ((their)) bank. Is quite close to capable nuclear ICBMs and has a shit ton of artillery aimed on the capital of his neighbor. So unless Musk is going to come up with something nobody else knows about AI real soon we should consider the possibility he's overstating the dangers and has an ulterior agenda.
