A Swiss court has fined a man for “liking” defamatory comments onFacebook, in what is believed to be the first case of its kind.

According to a statement from the Zurich district court, the 45-year-old defendant accused an animal rights activist, Erwin Kessler, of racism and antisemitism and hit the “like” button under several comments from third parties about Kessler that were deemed inflammatory.

The comments were made in 2015 during heated discussions on a range of Facebook groups about which animal welfare groups should be permitted to take part in a vegan street festival, the Swiss daily Tages Anzeiger reported.

in this case it's a good thing. the guy who won is the good one, the anti-racist, anti-antisemitic liberal extremists lost.
>>

>>
the media are only mad because their side lost

They're both leftists, the guy who won is an ultra leftist who wants to ban jews from vegan events because of kosher slaughter (he was jailed for anti-semistism for this) and the guy who got fined for liking comments against him is an ultra leftist vegan who thinks that jews should be included.

All that came out of this is a new, even more totalitarian precedent for punishing wrong-think in switzerland. And you can be sure that it will be used against right wingers in the country extensively.
