Animal Farm.

Great book, but I've already read that one.

Capitalism, Socialism, and Democracy by Joseph Schumpeter
Das Kapital by Karl Marx
Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell
Capitalism and Freedom by Milton Friedman
These 4 are analyses of our current economic systems, and are quite thorough.
The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith is a classic and is very influential on modern economic thought.
Varoufakis' works are also very interesting and brilliant, and analyse the world's current economic state. The Global Minotaur is probably the best entry point. If you're interested in game theory he has also written extensively on it.
Basic economics by Thomas sowell

If you are talking about macroeconomics, then you will never learn it from books. It's just a bunch of brainwashing bullshit, same as from MSM.

Any macro textbook. Economics by Nordhaus and Samuelson.

But you should know at least calculus to read this book.

I would suggest to start with "Mankiw Instroduction to Economics". This covers both macro and microeconomics unlike the book above.
Macroeconomics is more or less useless nonsense.
