The monarch should be the pinnacle of both temporal and spiritual power, but it should not be granted to him by a divine consciousness, because those don't exist. He should have it it because he strives to be superhuman in a way that others cannot match, but can emulate. And his successor should be the same, whether it be transmitted by blood, or spirit.

This.
I think Cromwell was a good example.

Wasn't Cromwell very unpopular after getting into power? Didn't his government suck?

The Catholic Church is the only force that has been consistently been able to stand up to progressives and maintain its integrity. It is the only force that can outlast degeneracy.

Yes, there have been some fuckups, but its track record over time is truly remarkable.

Every government and empire no matter how great has risen, fallen, collapsed and turned on itself. Even the Protestants have let themselves be tainted by feminism and homosexuality. Yes, you have the pedo scandals, but the process for handling pedos in the past has changed, and it's now being taken care of; additionally, the rates of abuse are below that of those found in the general public and schools. Yes, Francis is what you would call a liberal, but he merely took the stage to restore the PR image of the church… he is not going to be able to actually change shit. He is against abortion, gender theory, gay adoption, and numerous other similar causes.

The Catholic Church is the only force capable of surviving and standing up to degeneracy.

As the republics and democracies of the world fade into degeneracy, are swallowed up by socialism and eventually communism only the church will remain.

Therefore, I would argue that a Catholic monarchy is the best most stable form of government. But here is the catch…the monarch is a high ranking member of the church (like the pope) who swears an oath of chastity, poverty and obedience to God.

This priest king is given control of the nation. Cultural norms are enforced by the church. Economic freedom is a standard. The priest king appoints a member of the Papal Guard as the head of the Ministry of War. When he dies, the council of bishops within the land appoints a new monarch.

If anything, I think this would most closely resemble Plato's philosopher kings…but obviously a Catholic leaning.

This plus it would have been extremely expensive for the Great Britain to hold on to the colonies even if they squashed our forces.

Wrong Nazism or Fascism and keeping the Monarchy like Italy and the UK would of. All though the monarchy in Italy was a faggot

Meritocratic with all the benefits of the better people ruling society with none of the bullshit succession and and inevitable instinctual, retard kings. Also unlike the Prussian leadership in ww1 where Generals where Generals not because of their skill but because their great great grandfather was a general.

I rate divine right monarchy a 6.5/10. There's better types of monarchy anyway

Lol no, Christianity is an essentially communist religion, the only truly good parts were kings like Charlemagne and the knightly orders. Catholicism is pretty much Protestantism at this point, while Protestantism has became agnosticism in all but name.

The Catholic Church has historically been against the Priest King. Even at the height of the inquisition, sentencing was determined and carried out by a lay court. Your politics falls into the the trap of modern thinking in which the only institution capable of binding society together is the state. This is the very ideology we seek to destroy, is it not?

But yes, the Church alone can outlast degeneracy.

Also Ancient Sparta had a pretty cool setup

Sparta was an oligarchy. The state was ruled by two hereditary kings of the Agiad and Eurypontid families, both supposedly descendants of Heracles and equal in authority, so that one could not act against the power and political enactments of his colleague.

The duties of the kings were primarily religious, judicial, and military. They were the chief priests of the state and also maintained communication with the Delphian sanctuary, which always exercised great authority in Spartan politics. In the time of Herodotus, about 450 BC, their judicial functions had been restricted to cases dealing with heiresses, adoptions and the public roads. Aristotle describes the kingship at Sparta as "a kind of unlimited and perpetual generalship" while Isocrates refers to the Spartans as "subject to an oligarchy at home, to a kingship on campaign".

Civil and criminal cases were decided by a group of officials known as the ephors, as well as a council of elders known as the gerousia. The gerousia consisted of 28 elders over the age of 60, elected for life and usually part of the royal households, and the two kings. High state policy decisions were discussed by this council who could then propose action alternatives to the damos, the collective body of Spartan citizenry, who would select one of the alternatives by voting.

The royal prerogatives were curtailed over time. Dating from the period of the Persian wars, the king lost the right to declare war and was accompanied in the field by two ephors. He was supplanted also by the ephors in the control of foreign policy. Over time, the kings became mere figureheads except in their capacity as generals. Real power was transferred to the ephors and to the gerousia.

The origins of the powers exercised by the assembly of the citizens called the Apella are virtually unknown because of the lack of historical documentation and Spartan state secrecy.
