Hey Pol, would banks exist in a true free market? Why or why not?
In a true free market the USA would already have purchased Canada.

Yes. They just wouldn't be centralized because fuck (((them))).

Yes, the banks increase the money supply and provide the services of deposits and loans.
Don't banks by their very nature threaten the ability of a free market to remain free?

Only ones that match duration and no fractional lending. Essentially LendingClub.
No f*cking 30 year mortgages unless the bank also offers a 30 year CD (it won't).

Nice 'service' - increasing the money supply. Thanks Shlomo.

No, they facilitate wealth creation by managing debt. Debt is useful, but excessive debt must also be punished in a free market to weed out those with too much risk (no "too big to fail")
Yes: full-reserve gold currency banks. No CENTRAL banking ever.

In a free market I can hold your silver and give you a slip for it, why not.
I could also build a granary, hold your wheat and give you a slip for it.
No fractional reserve would be my model, would just charge the depositor a storage fee.
