short term: best solution is to start mass downloading popular youtube vids and reuploading them on a competitor site. we can start with meme videos, popular songs we like, historic speeches, etc until we put a decent sized dent in it.

long term: start moving towards decentralized media hosting platforms. theres the whole cjdns/hyperboria meshnet thing and a decent amount of cryptocurrencies specifically geared towards creating uncensorable media outlets.

Now if you want to do something to combat this, you can make your own media hosting platform, or promote one of the existing platforms (there's a numerous amount of them)
To get your panties in a bunch all because of this issue is a waste of time that could be spent doing something more substantial, as there is no way to force YouTube to reverse their censorship.
