Just like everyone else on here, I know the world is corrupted beyond belief and it is only going to get worse. During this time we have become so filled with misery and untrust that as a natural defense mechanism we will try out best not to be fooled by anyone or anything ever again. The danger is this kind of one-sided mentality will make you blind just like the people you hate so much.

The reason the world is the way it is right now is simply because of free will. People can not truly love God without it. The more you attempt to find out the truth about God, the more sense everything is going to make. I started off with 0% faith just like you and I thought I had the best arguments against Christianity but none of the shit I was trying to prove actually made anything better for me.

I finally made the decision to give God a proper chance because listening to both sides is simply the intelligent thing to do and I was sick of being confused miserable. If you're as intelligent and mature as you think you are, you will listen to both sides and give them an equal chance.

I strongly advise you to take just baby steps and just visit Christian sites & video channels such as Joyce Meyer Ministries which is my favorite. Go to her youtube channel and type in the video search all the problems you have in life including your trust issues with God and you will find at least 5 different videos dedicated to each one. They are delivered clearly for everyone to understand and by someone who is very real, not stuck up and full of BS.

I respect all of you as I do myself and understand fully why you are questioning things especially in such a fucked up reality like this one. It's because of this that I am desperately wanting to help you all out or at least someone amongst you who will give this a chance.

I didn't for many years but havw just recently opened up myself to God and the love of Christ.
I honestly can't begin to describe the immediate changes I've noticed in my life.
Example: I suffer from pretty bad anxiety but in recent weeks I've felt a sense of calmness I haven't felt in a long time.

Everyone wants the same thing, to be happy. The difference is how much we decide the world has to change before we can allow ourselves to feel that way. "Look around, things are awful! How can you be happy? It needs to be THIS way. THEN things will be perfect and I can be happy." Then you get into the mindset that the ends justify the means, because everything worthwhile is in the future. But in the end, the motivation is the same.
