Given the society's technological potential, is the free market capitalism still the best choice for shaping the future of mankind? Think of all the human potential that is wasted on utter shit like entertainment, cheap food and the likes (gender studies!). The question is: Can we do better? I very much tend to believe so. In a coordinated effort, we could reach for the stars and allow everyone to live like a kang.
How should a government be organized so we can make the most of our potential? Has fascism become a viable alternative again?

it's pretty much impossible to make any significant advancements in society, or philosophy for that matter, as long as we (the west) draws nearer to the apex of total economic and national cooperation, essentially making the only foreseeable future for us to be some kind of large, globalized imperialistic nation instead of nationalistic countries with ethnic-drawn borders doing their own thing

your ancap flag is kinda confusing then.
the thing is, if you don't make people happy they don't work at their best performance.
people need entertainment to have the motivation to work.
and gender studies is a product of corrupted governments, not the free market.
in a free market no one would support it with funds and it'd die out

>Is capitalism the best path to utopia
Yes. If you continue like this, mankind will be extinct in short order and we can have our planet back.

I think so much potential is wasted, because people have to work to pay interest, in one way or another. Instead of focusing on their needs and potential, society's constantly driven to work for something that doesn't benefit it. I think we need to seperate basic needs like housing, food, education and infrastructure from our market economy. The state should provide these things in the best possible way, including land and the protection thereof. People shouldn't be afraid to get destroyed if they're chosing to work on something that might benefit all of us, but could fail as well. I want to wake up and work on a better future, and not be afraid that maybe this means that my family won't have enough food at the end of the day. With automatization, self-sustainability and the likes, I think for the first time in the history of human kind, this is in reach.
