Dress like you are going to work DURING the interview. I'm a welder, they are likely going to have you weld something for the interview. If you are inexperienced and untrained, they would likely train you..

Seriously, the welder shortage is insane, so if your willing, many shops are willing to take a total noob and train you up.

But show up dressed for welding, steel toe boots if you got them. Long sleeve cotton preferably denim shirt, baseball cap if you don't have a welders cap, denim pants that go OVER the boots.

Turn the cap around before you put on your welding mask, keep that bill over the collar and protecting you neck.

Good luck!!!

Virginians, we have a general election on November 7th; Mark that day down and remember to remind your family to vote

Here is what the Democrats want for our old Dominion:

>Northam supports the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.[28] He also supports a federal Medicaid expansion in Virginia.[29][30]

>Northam is pro-choice. He opposes banning late-term abortions after 20 weeks.[30] He believes the Democratic Party should not endorse candidates who are pro-life.[30] Northam's 2017 gubernatorial bid has been endorsed by NARAL.[31]

>Northam has pledged to "stand up against" Immigration and Customs Enforcement.[30]

>Northam has remained neutral on the building of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline.[32] He has also avoided taking a firm stance on other pipelines such as the Mountain Valley Pipeline.[33]

>Northam voted against a constitutional amendment to make Virginia a right to work state.[34]

>Northam criticized the repeal of the car tax under former Governor Jim Gilmore, saying Virginia still hasn't "recovered" from its repeal.[29]

I say we use this election to tell them to fuck off

Today's Nuclear North Korea Is Yesterday's China: Lessons From History

>North Korea isn’t the first Asian communist state to acquire a nuclear ICBM capability of concern to the United States.

http://thediplomat.com/2017/08/todays-nuclear-north-korea-is-yesterdays-china-lessons-from-history/

>North Korea’s recent successful intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) tests have put Pyongyang on the cusp of having the means to credibly threaten the continental United States with a nuclear strike. The Trump administration has vowed to “not allow” North Korea to continue on its “destructive path” but so far has not put forth specific new policies to stop Pyongyang. Since the latest test, several senior administration officials have stepped up their rhetoric, labeling the DPRK as the most urgent threat facing the United States and stating that it is “unimaginable” to allow North Korea to have the capability to attack the U.S. mainland.

>As U.S. policymakers ponder how to deal with North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs, it is important to remember that we are not in uncharted territory. The United States found itself in a similar situation more than 50 years ago, when faced with the prospect of Maoist China going nuclear. Then as now, experts questioned if rational decision makers were behind the nuclear controls of a reclusive communist state and military options — no matter how risky — were seriously considered. Despite initially having great fears about the prospect of a nuclear China, both the Kennedy and the Johnson administrations came to realize that China’s modest nuclear arsenal failed to alter the underlying balance of power in East Asia or undermine the confidence of U.S. allies in the credibility of Washington’s security guarantees. And even though nuclear-armed China continued to champion global revolutionary causes and provide direct military assistance to North Vietnam against the United States

>Chinese rhetoric on nuclear weapons gradually moderated and began to show evidence of calculated restraint vis-à-vis the United States

A Rogue China

>In December of 1960, the U.S. National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) warned that, “[China’s] arrogant self-confidence, revolutionary fervor, and distorted view of the world may lead [Beijing] to miscalculate risks. This danger would be heightened if Communist China achieved a nuclear weapons capability.” Revolutionary fervor aside, the same assessment could be written about North Korea today. North Korea continues to be one of the most isolated regimes in the world, run by the mercurial Kim Jong-un. In addition, the country engages in kidnappings and assassinations, hurls utterly bizarre imprecations against the United States, and regularly threatens preemptive nuclear strikes against South Korea. When observing North Korea from afar it is easy to mistake it for an exceptional case of obdurate despotism.

>As the NIE suggests, however, the same rogue state description fit the profile of China in the 1960s. Throughout the decade, Chinese leaders routinely dismissed the dangers of nuclear war and would stress the inevitable victory of the “people’s war” against U.S. imperialism and Soviet revisionism. At the same time, Chinese leaders greatly exaggerated the capabilities of their own nuclear program and downplayed the risks posed by potential counter force strikes against the Chinese mainland.

>In reality, China’s belligerent rhetoric was a strategic bluff to compensate for the great disparity between China and the two superpowers in nuclear capabilities. When looking today at uncannily similar boasts by North Korean state press that their country is now “a strong nuclear power state” and has “a very powerful ICBM that can strike any place in the world” it is important to remember that North Korea continues to have a small nuclear arsenal...
>>
>>136919191
Communism has never been tried, sweetie.
>>
>>136919281
>...has no second strike capability, and will never be able to shift the military power balance in the region on its own. North Korean saber rattling is a screen to deflect from the regime’s weakness and fear of the future.

North Korea’s Nuclear Doctrine

>The DPRK does not have a publicly available official nuclear doctrine, which leaves analysts the sole option of piecing together a strategy from open-source statements. Kim Jong-un has spoken about the importance of breaking the “nuclear monopoly” held by the United States. Pyongyang has stated that it has a “no first use” policy and that it is in favor of complete global disarmament. Despite the “no first use” language, North Korea has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons in preventive strikes against either the United States or South Korea. Since pulling out of the Six Party Talks, North Korea has effectively rejected efforts to denuclearize the North Korean peninsula.

>North Korea’s commentary on nuclear weapons closely parallels China’s official positions on nuclear weapons during the 1960s. Following China’s first nuclear test in 1964, Beijing also stressed three points: China’s goal for developing nuclear weapons was “to break the superpower monopoly;” China holds a “no first use” policy; and that China supports the complete elimination of nuclear weapons. Despite the cautious public stance, China was vehemently opposed to the Limited Test Ban Treaty (LTBT) and did not moderate its hostile position toward nonproliferation until its nuclear program reached a more mature stage in the 1970s. China’s record suggests that North Korea is purposely adopting a hostile stance to compensate for the overall weakness of the North Korean arsenal.
>>
>>136917622

They dont try to hide it anymore
>>
>>136919326
>John F. Kennedy viewed a potential Chinese nuclear test as “likely to be historically the most significant and worst event of the 1960s.” The Kennedy Administration was so concerned about the specter of a nuclear China that every measure from direct U.S. strikes to parachuting Chinese Nationalist commandos from Taiwan was considered.

>Kennedy was hardly alone in his fears that a nuclear China was the greatest threat to world peace. As the Cultural Revolution unfolded, the U.S. Navy was concerned that China would quickly gain submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) technology and would launch them in a way to fake a Soviet strike, triggering a global nuclear war.

>If China’s nuclear program did not pose a serious threat to the United States in the 1960s, then there is even less reason to fear North Korea’s today. Even with improvements in North Korean missile capabilities, the United States and its allies still enjoy an overwhelming military and economic advantage over the North. Just as during the 1960s, the United States simply needs to be public and credible in its reassurances to its regional allies and partners. Any North Korean effort to split the U.S.-ROK alliance will fail if the United States continues to provide a broad security guarantee to South Korea. As long as the Trump administration continues to offer its public support to Japan, Tokyo too will feel that there is no need for drastic action.

>Lastly the United States needs to forcefully come out against the linkage of the North Korean nuclear question with unrelated issues in the U.S.-China relationship to address Taiwanese concerns that Washington will trade away the de facto independence of the island in exchange for Chinese assistance in reigning in North Korea.

> It has become clear that either due to a lack of leverage or deliberate unwillingness, Beijing will not apply the necessary level of pressure to compel Pyongyang to reverse course. The United States should not fall into the trap of expanding the scope of talks in the hope of eliciting additional Chinese cooperation on North Korea.

>After the 1964 Chinese nuclear test, President Johnson used trade controls and extra intelligence monitoring to slow down the pace of China’s nuclear development. Despite continued apprehension, the U.S. learned to live with China’s nuclear program. This was made possible in large part due to swift and credible U.S. reassurances to key regional allies such as Japan. Over time, as Chinese leaders decided to shift strategies and pursue greater engagement with the Western world, China’s nuclear positions underwent a gradual evolution. North Korea is not China, but a similar policy of strategic patience combined with robust security assurances to South Korea and Japan is the best bet for getting North Korea back to the negotiating table. Oh man that would be too funny if that account was controlled opposition and since Mueller is close to getting everything he needed to convict the entire DNC, they had that account put out stuff about sex trafficking.

Trump knows the media won't talk about it, especially if it involves their allies so his team would have to create a story centered around him to get their attention. As no one had picked up on it, he liked the tweet to give it exposure and promptly un-liked it to add on the story.

Or it could just be another liberal nutjob wasting their day crying about Trump like Rosie.
>>
Haha so yeah ummm how btfo was Trump by China saying this?

China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten US soil first and the US retaliates, China will stay neutral. If the US and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so.

Korea, America, and China: Forever Frozen Conflict

Ever since the conclusion of the Korean War in 1953, the Korean Conflict has raged on as a cold war well beyond the broader Cold War. The Chinese invasion of Korea assured that the USSR created north would not collapse and thus began the seven decade stalemate. What is different now from then and what policy and attitudes should be adopted by the Koreas, America, and China as well as the more broad world? What can be done?

Perspectives

China views the protection of the border region it shares with North Korea upon the Yalu River as an essential national security matter. Beyond this, China has historical and philosophical considerations. The Chinese term for the conflict, 抗美援朝战争 or the "War to Resist US Aggression, and and the great memorial to the Chinese military dead of Dandong, which many ranking party members have family honored by, mark a deep psychological bond to maintain this front. North Korea is a massive source of revenue to China via the businesses it operates and products it buys. North Korea has absolutely no ability to produce even the most basic needs so turns to China for great profit.

What material benefit would China draw from cutting off North Korea? Little to none, it would suffer financially and politically. What strategic benefit would China draw from abandoning protection of North Korea? None, it is inherently too weak to defend itself.

Chinese will not tolerate a celebrated time in their history, a great victory over western imperialist aggressors for the fledgling communist government, to be tarnished by losing what was gained. They will also not tolerate the new strategic issue of western and ROK forces on their border that would place the Chinese mainland in range of American and ally artillery for the first time in history. China currently enjoys sharing no border besides its India border with a potentially aggressive neighbor. This would change if North Korea fell.

I'm tired of this rah-rah of warmongering on both sides by imbeciles. Nothing is going to happen, the fact that both sides are shit talking means nothing is going to happen. NK can't fight and the US has nothing to win and China and SK can't be bothered. By engaging them in dialogue, Trump is far closer to the goal of peace than any of the lame duck presidents before him.

Instead of just sitting back and enjoying the theater, everyone's anxious for mushroom clouds to form. People are fucking stupid. I really have no hope for the GOP or right after Trump, 2 years of watching him and as far as I'm concerned, they're just as stupid as the leftists in understanding him. If Trump disappeared tomorrow, they'd go right back to fucking neoconism. And that includes a lot of the larping retards here.

North Korean airspace is completely off limits to all but North Korea and a few Chinese. Every single other nation is not allowed to fly over. Every village and town has informers who can directly contact the military. North Koreans speak a different dialect of Korean than the south which is unique to North Korea. There are barely any cars or motor transport even in the capital and even public transport. There are barely any boards and what ones there are aren't motorized.

North Korea has internal border control which does not allow citizens to travel between areas, one is told where to live and people do not travel between places unless on official business.

The leadership lives in a well guarded palace surrounded by military in a part of the capital that has the most trusted hardliners and people from the rest of the city are not allowed to get close.

It already does. It has had nukes for years. I keep doing this song and dance every few hours now. They not only had those nukes, as I said they miniaturized very quickly this year and they have ICBMs that can reliably carry them all over the US. They have it and there is nothing that can be done about it.

They won't give up their nuclear program and there won't be war.

They do not have any sort of real deliverable ICBM force. They're about to, and I assure you they will not be allowed to. This is why there will be war, you're dead wrong. Either China smartens up and whips their dumb muzzled rat or NK is bombed into oblivion and China is allowed to occupy it.

The ball is in China's court but you honestly could not be more wrong. You actually believe NK is going to be allowed to join the MAD club, you are not on the same planet as the US defence establishment.

Yes, they do. They have long range ICBMs that can reach the US and other nations like Canada very easily with miniaturized nukes that can be carried on them. They may get to a point where people won't tolerate there behavior but they have nuclear devices so not much can be done about it. China can't do anything for certain even if they wanted to. They have nukes and they have ICBMs. It has been verified over and over again.

They've had this technology for years and have perfected it. I've been saying it forever.

I 100% agree. And that is most certainly Trump's aim and ultimate goal. On that I support him 100% and have no doubt he's doing whatever he can. In many ways, I see Trump as the resurgence of Eisenhower sensibility, and Eisenhower was the one who ended the Korean War in the 1st place.

My griping is more towards the war lusting idiots that can't wait to watch megatons in HD to illuminate their basements. They're anarchists who have no idea what they're wishing for.

>>136922525

On that I disagree, if their nuclear capabilities continue to progress, eventually tensions will be triggered. There are ways to get them to give up their nukes, they're not straightforward, but it's possible. I could see the US stationing nukes in SK and causing China to freak out and clamp down on NK. I could also see China offering a mutual defense treaty to NK and getting them to shut down their rogue nuclear program. I'm sure there's many other ways. War is the least creative option.

End game though, nuclear proliferation can not be tolerated. As soon as NK gets away with a nuke, Iran will surge for the same capabilities right away. And probably many other regimes in private that can't count on secure US relations. You get nuclear minefields all over the place very shortly in that kind of scenario. Pic related is literally the worst choice, even worse than reigniting the Korean War.
>>
>>136922639
They literally just started deploying this and proving it in any sort of numbers, hence the march to war.

Listen to Bolton and that's all you need to hear. He's giving you the defence insider argument and they're going to win out over the state department "rational actor" retardation. I'm done.
>>
>>136923014
There's a reason Trump is pissed off about this and it's the one thing even that piece of shit traitor Obama felt bad about. There is no good way out of this, and NK will absolutely not be allowed a MAD level nuclear force and only a drooling fucking idiot thinks otherwise. It just is not. Going. To be allowed. To happen.

>There are ways to get them to give up their nukes, they're not straightforward, but it's possible.
They simply don't have any interest in surrendering nukes, they have very good logic and citation for why they will not surrender them. They cite the cases of Syria and Libya and say such a thing would doom them. They could possibly force people's hands but no party wants war and NK isn't going to do anything more than freeze the program. Iran is a different situation for a variety of reasons. They don't have a major power backing them that would defend them against a strike to remove their nuclear capabilities. I don't believe there is much of anything that can be done besides a freeze. You are willing to think what you like but a second Korean War is so disastrous that no side can consider it except in the most dire of circumstances.

>>136923054
I don't need to listen to bulton to know what I need to know. There is a party that wants to go to war but it is facile in every respect. A Korean war is not tenable. The best that can be hoped for is a freeze because North Korea will not surrender its ace in the hole. It knows that this is their only assurance to remain afloat.

I actually don't think Trump is pissed, I actually think he's happy. He's in dialogue directly with NK. Crude, shit flinging dialogue, but dialogue nonetheless. And that means progress is possible. Anyone who knows anything about the Cold War knows that much worse was said between powers that ultimately went nowhere and had no consequences.

When Trump's pissed, he gets silent. Right now he's gained a tempo on Kim Jong Un by calling out his bluffing and making him respond with a ludicrous threat about Guam. For the first time, both sides are having to confront the actual capabilities of their military might. And the contrast doesn't look good for Kim.

I really wish you guys had more sense of history and strategy, all this shit would be so much more fun to watch. We're much nearer peace than we've been in fucking decades, you guys have no idea. Trolling banter will defuse this situation that would've exploded in the future.

The memo itself:

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/3922874-Political-Warfare.html#document/p2

The Trump administration is suffering under withering information campaigns designed to first undermine, then de legitimize and ultimately remove the President. Possibly confusing these attacks with an elevated interplay of otherwise normal D.C. partisan infighting and adversarial media relations, the White House response to these campaigns reflects a political advocacy mindset that it is intensely reactive, severely under-inclusive and dangerously inadequate to the threat. If action is not taken to re-scope and respond to these hostile campaigns very soon, the administration risks implosion and subsequent early departure from the White House.

The Opposition. While opposition to President Trump manifests itself through political warfare memes

centered on cultural Marxist narratives, this hardly means that opposition is limited to Marxists as
conventionally understood. Having become the dominant cultural meme, some benefit from it while
others are captured by it; including "deep state" actors, globalists, bankers, lslamists, and establishment
Republicans. Through the campaign, candidate Trump tapped into a deep vein of concern among many
citizens that America is at risk and is slipping away. Globalists and lslamists recognize that for their
visions to succeed, America, both as an ideal and as a national and political identity, must be destroyed.
Atomization of society must also occur at the individual level; with attacks directed against all levels of
group and personal identity. Hence the sexism, racism and xenophobia memes. As a Judea-Christian
culture, forced inclusion of post-modern notions of tolerance is designed to induce nihilistic
contradictions that reduce all thought, all faith, all loyalties to meaninglessness. Group rights based on
sex or ethnicity are a direct assault on the very idea of individual human rights and natural law around
which the Constitution was framed. "Transgender acceptance" memes attack at the most basic level by
denying a person the right to declare the biological fact of one's sex. When a population has 2 + 2 = 5
imposed on it, there are many that benefit

Academia has served as a principle counter-state node for some time and
remains a key conduit for creating future adherents to cultural Marxist narratives and their

The Deep State - The successful outcome of cultural Marxism is a bureaucratic state beholden
to no one, certainly not the American people . With no rule of law considerations outside those
that further deep state power, the deep state truly becomes, as Hegel advocated, god
bestriding the earth.

I think your analysis is flawed in the same way most of the armchair analysts are, they see the players as nation blocks and not a conglomerate of personalities.

I'll give a very simple example: During the Cuban Missile Crisis, you had 3 players, JFK, Castro and Khrushchev. We all know roughly how that drama played out, Castro thundered about nuking the US, Kennedy enacted the blockade and Khrushchev faced am ultimatum. He sent JFK an offer, then he got buried by the Warhawks in his party that wanted patriotic war, JFK chose to gamble that taking the deal would defuse the crisis and it worked. The whole thing ultimately was a dud because cooler and frankly cowardly heads that didn't want to end up as radioactive dust prevailed.

You see North Korea relying on nukes for its survival. I think there's a case to be made they're much more for Kim's own survival, and that the 2 aren't necessarily the same thing. I don't see any reason why China, that has been against Kim Jong Un for years now, couldn't push for his exile and the ending of the nuclear program in return for riches for the rest of the regime. A wedge certainly used to exist between Kim and his generals when he took power, and the same wedge could be created again. Cowardice can end this crisis just as it did the last one.

Also, a successful North Korean nuclear program is very unlikely to be inert, meaning that in their poverty they're very likely to try to sell their nuclear technology to other countries. There's a lot of nutty dictators in the world, I don't see anything preventing Samson options from happening all over the place in that scenario. Nuclear proliferation simply can't be tolerated for the good of the world.

As used in this discussion, cultural Marxism relates to programs and activities that arise out of Gramsci
Marxism, Fabian Socialism and most directly from the Frankfurt School. The Frankfurt strategy
deconstructs societies through attacks on culture by imposing a dialectic that forces unresolvable
contradictions under the rubric of critical theory. The result is induced nihilism, a belief in everything
that is actually the belief in nothing.
That post-modern (diversity/multiculturalism) narratives seeks to implement cultural Marxist objectives
can be demonstrated by reference to founding Frankfurt School theorist Herbert Marcuse's repurposing
of the term tolerance. In a 1965 ~ Marcuse defined tolerance as intolerance; said it can be
implemented through undemocratic means to stop chauvinism (xenophobia), racism, discrimination;
and should be extended to the left while denied to the right:

"The realization of the objective of tolerance would call for intolerance toward prevailing policies, attitudes, opinions, and
the extension of tolerance to policies, attitudes, and opinions which are outlawed or suppressed."

I definitely view affairs as states seeking the best possible solutions, I can't view it in any other context besides some consideration of the ability and personality of the people who head the states. The Kim dynasty is well embedded. My desire, and the desire of many others like high level political defectors, is that an internal struggle results in a palace coup by reformers. Kim Jong Un knew this was the desire of many and killed reform minded. Many others left and the majority who remain are hardliners who those perceived as loyal. He also made himself the only other living heir with any chance of leading so his removal would be the end of the dynasty. That would be drastic and difficult with most anyone who appeared to be for such a cause dead or exiled. There isn't any reason to remove him internally among hardliners because they are doing quite well at the top level with money flowing in form illegal businesses.

His purging and solidifying power seems to have worked very well and illegal cash is flowing in very smoothly.

I don't doubt the possibility that this could cause further proliferation but that reasoning is rather slight. Other countries don't have the unique protections that North Korea has. It would be far easier to knock over any would be North Korea or cripple them over this but North Korea is protected by China. I don't believe in tolerating nuclear proliferation, the blame lies on the footstep of China for allowing this.

It's the fun reboot, North Korea can't really touch us and both sides know it. Cuba was a much more serious situation.

But they can starve. Most people think sanctions are a prelude to war, and they're usually right, but in the case of North Korea, they're stuck with a gun that can only fire once against the greatest army in the world. As soon as anyone gives an order to fire in North Korea, they're essentially signing the death warrant of the entire country. The fact that they never broached the stalemate tells me they're very cognizant of that fact. And that means we can push them a lot harder than we could with a regular country that hadn't pissed off all its neighbors. There's a lot of room for diplomatic creativity here. A lot of loyalties get tested on a hungry stomach.

It literally prevents unions and companies from forming private agreements.
Even the most henious "closed shop" is actually completely free market, and it is illegal in most areas because the government gets involved and regulates what agreements can be made in a free market.
>>Northam criticized the repeal of the car tax under former Governor Jim Gilmore, saying Virginia still hasn't "recovered" from its repeal.[29]
I'm not too aware of the car tax, but I'm probably against having car taxes.

Agreed, there's snakes all over the place, not just the Clintons and DNC but honestly in the GOP as well. They could do a massive benefit to the country by helping to clean house, but they'd rather fantasize about Trump and vodka flavored urine in Moscow.

Agreed. If you follow any of the "objective" MSM journalists' tweets, its nonstop snarky hot takes, pearl clutching virtue signalling, anti-center right and anti-Trump garbage 24/7.

>Never seen more rush to judgments than now

>all MSM newsfags share and collaborate the same shit - and use this in their reporting without verifying if its fake news or not.

>And then get BTFO after their "sources" aggregated on Twitter turn out to be wrong or inaccurate

Chicago has always been shit. I've watched old films from the early 1900s,even then they were riffing on the corruption and crime there.
