A school district in Oregon has voted to change the name of a school because the name Lynch. Its offends black people, don't ya know.
The school was named after a family who donated land for schools. Everyday I become more enraged.

White people were lynched too. Typically extrajudicial killings were carried out on prisoners before trial, it wasn't a practice exclusively limited to blacks.
The Hollywood meme of a black man getting dragged out of his house and hung is false. Almost all lynchings were carried out on people who were dragged out of jail.

In the Western US during the territory days, judges used to be the judge jury and executioners in small towns. The mid 1800's were a strange time.
