Historically speaking, societies shift from degenerate to prude and back again. But the fact that we now have one giant comminucation network where all are in contact with each other I kind of think we will never see this shift again and we will forever have all kinds of weirdos battling eachother for ideological shifts in legislation. Untill we reach an equilibrium of sorts in a few decades. So there will always be people pushing for everything degenerate imaginable and people fighting those freaks at the same time.

Millenial women already share high status men during their CC days. Its not such a stretch that women will start seeing polygamy as a real alternative to settling down with a beta male.
