It's an adaptation from a book, so why don't you look up the bloody author and his credentials and reviews of his books and form your own opinion.

I think he's a good and balanced writer relying on personal war stories corroborated with official reports at the time.

He interviewed my grandad for his book on ww2 bomber crews and he came across fair and balanced, even on the subject of dresden which Is rare due to the emotive issue surrounding it.

But it's really not hard to research Ambrose.

It was. Band of brothers focused more on the characters while The Pacific was more about the war; yet it gave enough characterization to almost be on par with Band of Brothers.

The concentration camp scene was completely fake, and the 101 never even went to any.
The rest of it was pretty good though.
