This app works by matching your face with another, it took a real photo of Obama and shooped his face onto Pence's

I'm guessing it just analyzes the picture and tries to find a close match in its database. In this case it is looking for a black man who is probably wearing a suit and probably has a large crowd and an American flag in the background. An Obama photo is a prime candidate to be selected due to the similarity as well as the fact that there are probably loads of Obama pics in their database to begin with.

i do think it's using portraits to basically do a morph and not working from scratch and transforming features. i wouldnt be surprised if these were well-known people, and because my black version looked exactly like jon jones, they could have a bank of fighters for whatever reason
