Google nothing burger because I thought there would be some info about the Veritas videos that I could research.
Comes back with this pic related.
All this content was added right after the Veritas video came out.
They literally slid it out of sight.

You're missing the point.
Yes it has been around for a while, I am not denying that.
What this means is they scrambled all these nothing burger articles out at the same time to flood search results with stupid articles about the origins of the term to drown out the veritas vids.
Yes it is in the results, but above the fold content matters in SEO it has been proven.
