I think another question is worth asking. Why is Spain so bad at image handling? They literally let some butthurt faggot from Phillip II's court say a bunch of lies about him and did nothing. No counter arguments, no counter propaganda. They let the rest of Europe piss and shit on them constantly with 'Le Europa ends at the Pyrenees' memes. Why don't Spaniards ever stand up for their history? Instead they constantly shun it and allow faggot memer's like Catalonian nationalists to openly hate their own country. So I think it's a lot of different issues that affect the downfall of the Spanish empire. It also didn't help that unlike the Portugese, the Spanish never had a solid ally. Only ones that technically didn't stab them in the back were the Germans but then again they just didn't get the chance.

How the fuck do you think the were able to move so much product from the New World to Europe. They didn't just reap everything from the land and put it on their ships. The built huge cities and ports. Built some of the first universities in the Americas. They built roads and irrigation. They set up several plantations and were working the land in most of their colonies.
