It's Obvious really. The buttpains of losing WW2 still haunt the German ego, as America got lots of credit for BTFO Germany and defeating Hitler at the end of the war. Its kinda weird, Germans are so embarrassed about Hitler but still blasted about losing the war, and the one before it.
