How does this make it any less valid? I'm sorry if you had a bad experience with yours but I had an awesome priest who really taught us the real values of Christianity, not the bs you said.

As for the school religion hour, it's quite the same: it depends on who does it. Mine kinda sucked too, but I've also met some people who taught religion in schools who managed to really involve their students in a great way, so that most of them attended it even though it wasn't mandatory (which is also a reason why your complaint isn't really valid).

And I'm not really the " deluded house and church guy" who's been a Christian all along, I've been quite euphoric too in my teenage years, but in the end I came back to religion as I realized it's teachings really are for the best. Not going too much into detail as it's a quite wide subject, but let's just say that following them made me live a better, more rational and concrete life, and it also makes me work more for the benefit of society. That's why Italy made it's glory when people had those values, even if probably not all of them understood them to the core. Now we have no identity anymore, we're just another USA rip-off.
