Thing is North Korea is incredibly isolated and secretive we can't be sure whether or not those statements are lies or not. At all. My theory is that China wants the North to fall so they can influence the rebuilding of it and create puppet chaebols and political parties out of its ruins to get a grasp on the Korean government and economy. I sincerely doubt Trump will actually nuke North Korea in return. Kim will probably launch a shitty missile that will be downed by a SAM system and in response all of the North will get bombed to hell and invaded.

Most likely things to happen are Seoul gets a few shells of nuclear artillery(may not even exist), nukes get exploded mid air and airburst and drop randomly(better than actually hitting but still), and bombing runs of fortifications accidentally releases NBC contaminants.

It's going to be messy.

I mean the concept of the OICW increased firepower by a lot but it's bulky as fuck. Americans have some experience with them from their use in the gulf war and the occasional use in the iraqi insurgency. Though we've never faced concentrated use of them, nobody has outside of China since WWI. Who knows how that shit will go especially if soldiers aren't prepared for it? They most likely won't. No reason to. The sheer amount of radiation and fallout that would be kicked up by an American nuke would only make cleanup worse.

What's likely to happen is the US is going to pressure North Korea until they get their missile in the air, it's going to get shot down by a SAM system almost immediately, then the US is going to run over North Korea and knock out every installation they can find. I am in DPRK/NK. We do go out, we do go to bars, have dinner with friends, do physical activity. In fact, we do it in style.
I don't LARP, I don't watch anime or read comics. I do play some online games on my PC, with my wife.

I am nearly 40 and me wife is in late 20's, former model now techie. Finncially secure, I own a maserati among 3 other cars. Multiple vacationa a year, dozens of concerts including meeting the talent.

I can have tats, wear shorts to the office (which I usually work at home save a day or two I go in for meetings).


I can speak freely and curse/swear in meetings. I get all kinds of silly perks like office going to new movie releases or an entire day the whole office goes to volunteer at a food bank. We have a cyclist club for people that cycle into work or do competitive practice at lunch. I don't have set hours. Food regularly paid for, at minimum on wed and Firday. Mandatory 2 trips a year to go to conventions and training (Usually LA/LAs Vegas/New York) - and I get to pick which ones I personally want - all expenses paid (bring wife along). No I'm not a mindless worker drone and I am not the exception either. When I was single I was never without a date when I wanted.

North Koreans in a reunified Korea will of course be sympathetic with chinks and be eager to work with them, there will be a divide in Korea even after the war despite being reunified where the North listens to China and the South is forced to listen to the North.

If the social schism is too much, there's a possibility another civil war could break out where the North tries to declare independence from the South again under the direct control of China as a much more liberal and sane country.
