>The Wehrmacht was clean!
>The holocaust was over-exaggerated
>We could have won the war even after Stalingrad
>Hitler stabbed us in the back!
What did Nosestein mean by this?
He stated those facts out of the knowledge that he had during the war. German military intelligence failed spectacularly during the ww2, particularly when it came to estimating soviet reserve divisions in 1941. If only they had listened to their logistics debarment in the army before the invasion since their estimates about how far they could advance were extremely accurate.
He is right about Hitler failing them the war effort(refusal to give up conquered land and concentrate units following the defeat of Stalingrad and Kursk into a shorter front), but on the other hand Generals are to blame too, particularly for pushing battle of Kursk.
