At end of the day it's always the state and it's norms who recognize your hard work or not. You can work as hard as you want if you speak Chinese and nobody understands you. So nationalism and state are norms to which you strive, but unlike Nietzsche, you should understand that there is no religion that became popular without state or at least chief Kahuna, which is light version of state and laws. Of course we should reject some foreign invading laws and state of minds. You taught English because the state told you so.
