In order to safeguard the South Koreans, the DMZ has to be repositioned AT LEAST another 50km to the north... but if you have gone that far, you may as well capture North Koreans industrial centers, which involve taking Pyongyang. Understanding the history of the last war, China wants a buffer zone and it would be wise to halt the advance a significant distance away from the Yalu river.

Basically do what the Vietnamese did to Cambodia, when they isolated Pol Pot to a hunk of jungle in the middle of nowhere.

Long antenna leads to the potential for powerful electirical arcs which can cause fires. Cars and phones and consumer electronics really are not going to be affected by an EMP. You will probably need to reboot your phone though.

EMP is an enormously exaggerated fear used to sell books and "safeguards" to idiots.

The main culprit behind EMP fear-mongering is Dr Peter Pry who runs a company called the "EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security" which is really just his own consulting firm. He is the self appointed executive director and he sells books and charges $500/hour consulting fee or is paid a lot of money to appear on CNN or foxnews to scare people with pseudo since an to advertise his books to soccer moms and other easily scared people.

Dr Pry is not even a nuclear physicist or engineer. He just has a degree in political science with a PHD in international relations.
