I've lived/worked in every state and New England, California is about the same as Massachusetts. New Hampshire was one of the shittiest states because they used to represent a beautiful Christian Right to me, Maine was actually the better state, even with their income tax. Voted for Lepage before I left and I see these scandalous headlines all of the time shitting on him, but he's almost always right.

Mass is funny like that, first governor I remember was Romney. They are a state of moderates who can afford a little extra to help with healthcare, schooling, and social programs. From that stand point, they make socialist programs look great.
