The USA is under attack.

Good question, if they don't pull it for this they can literally do it anytime and it would seem legit. Our grid is, as far as I know, completely unprotected.

Depends on their goals, could be a couple hours or weeks. Possibly bringing portions on at a time. Really only ones who know would be the ones to do it and the goals they are trying to achieve.

You do know that you could tell the difference right? If the electrical grid was taken down by an EMP most electronics would be fried also. Anything else and the power just goes out. First thing to check for is if you can turn on electronics or start your car.
