Depends really, in theory yes since we have only 3 Republicans who are not entirely on board, so literally one more can swing any vote.

It's not just gerrymandering, as the dems become the party of the cities and the coasts, it becomes harder and harder for them to grasp onto the senate. Rural areas now scoff at that, and in 2018 a ton of red states with dem senators will show their rage for the obstructionism that they've plagued everyone with. The gerrymandering does help though.
