Intellectual solution is that God, being omniscient - knows via what means the greatest good would be enabled. Looking for your perspective, any minor discomfort might seem awful, but you discount lifetime as an eternity for lifetime as maybe 70 odd years. If you are willing to concede the latter, you have no choice but to defer to His authority on evil. If you do not, you'll be dead, and what matter will it be then?

Long and short of it is to not put yourself on God's level.
