Vegas is an absolute shithole. Drive 5 minutes east or west of the strip and you can't even use a restroom in a restaurant due to hordes of homeless ruining them and causing owners to put locks on the bathroom doors. It gets misserably hot in the summer and everywhere there is degenerate sinning.

you are quite wrong. Your description is closer to San Francisco than Las Vegas.
Las Vegas has bad areas like any city, but it's also one of the few cities in the US where white working class people can earn a living wage and easily afford an apartment or buy a home.
This is because a conscious decision was made to keep building in LV to keep living expenses low. Casinos and other service oriented businesses need a somewhat reliable workforce (i.e. not drunken) that actually speak english, so it's still livable for middle class people.
