As for work you will walk into a job. Even if unskilled. For instance I work for one of the big construction firms, we can not get staff. Sometimes we just need someone to wheelbarrow shit around and jump on the end of a shovel. We are having to go to backpackers to get random French and Israeli dudes to do a weeks work that local fat fucks won't do. If you've got any specific questions I'm happy to help.
