All religion is dumb/stupid, but technically you'd probably have better grounding calling atheism a mental illness just considering how rare/deviant it is compared to religious belief. Even if IMO it's more correct than most/all religions there's probably something socially different/deviant about most atheists or people completely devoid of supernatural belief compared to religious people, who are the norm of the world.
