Search engines, media hosting, social media. should be considered infrastructure and regulated / made public owned with tough regulation on data handling and censorship.

No, not all tech, you need to understand what public goods are. Sure, it would make sense for things like search engines or social networks to be considered utilities, but all of tech, like hardware companies/engineered products? No, not at all, no moreso than cars.
