Increase and decrease in creativity
A few years ago I had an increase in creativity. I used to sit on a forum and write very long OPs. Now I haven't had that creativity in a long time. I don't know why my creativity decreased. Anyone else had this experience? Is it possible to increase your creativity?

Yes. Go outside and experience life. Talk to people. The more you interact with the world, the more ideas you will create.

Inspiration should be a responsibility.

John Cleese did a very interesting talk about creativity. He basically said you need
1) Time
A set aside time to do creative things.
2) A place
A quiet, uninterrupted place to mull thoughts over
3) A sense of play
You should be having fun and playing with problems. Like what doodling is to drawing.
4) Time, again
You need to give it a long enough time to mull things over. Don't expect results immediatetly.

The doodling part is pretty spot on for me as an artist. For every hundred or so sketches I made maybe a couple would be selected for further finishing. Generally I just sketched all the time because it was more fun than inking and coloring...
As for writing, I wrote at one point for a while. Just write whatever until you run out of stuff. You can take parts back out later or add things in, just rough draft mind diarrhea was some of my most productive bits.
In both cases I usually had to give it time like the first and last points- set aside the rough draft and come back later for refining when you can look at it fresh again. Can't rush a quality product.
As far as place, I found myself most productive if I kept my supplies with me so anytime I had an idle moment I could sneak in a little sketch or two, or jot down concepts to sketch later. The more often I did it the better my inspiration...
